Musikkapelle Möhringen
Da es vor über 100 Jahren in Städten und größeren Ortschaften fast schon obligatorisch war eine Musikkapelle zu haben, gründeten im Frühjahr 1924 auch 10 Männer aus Möhringen eine Kapelle. Unter großen Einsatz und mit Instrumenten die zum Teil selber finanziert wurden, begann die Probenarbeit. Der damals amtierende Dirigent brachte die neue Kapelle innerhalb von 2 Jahren auf einen solchen Leistungsstand, dass 1926 bei der Marschmusikbewertung in Bad Buchau ein Preis erzielt wurde. Im Jahr 1935 hatte die Kapelle 17 Musikanten. Nach vielen Auf- und Abwärtsbewegungen in der Zeit des 2. Weltkrieges konnten 1949 wieder zusätzliche Musikanten gewonnen werden, so dass die musikalischen Auftritte wieder ohne Schwierigkeiten gemeistert werden konnten.
Ein weiterer Meilenstein war 1974 die Anschaffung der ersten Uniformen., die auch beim Festzug am Sonntag noch gezeigt werden. In den Jahren 1979 und 1989 wurden die Jubiläen jeweils mit einem Musikertreffen gefeiert.
Im Jahr 2011 war die Musikkapelle beim Wertungsspiel in Emerkingen, bei dem die Kapelle in der Mittelstufe mit hervorragendem Erfolg abgeschlossen hat. Auch in diesem Jahr übernahm Alexander Stöhr das Amt als 1. Vorstand, welches er immer noch gerne ausführt.
2014 feierte die Musikkapelle ihr 90-jähriges Bestehen mit dem 6. Bauern- und Handwerkermarkt. Beim Kreismusikfest in Unlingen im Sommer 2019 nahm die Musikkapelle unter der Leitung von Siegfried Fürst am Wertungsspiel teil. Die Musikkapelle erhielt in der Kategorie Böhmisch/Mährisch Mittelstufe die Bewertung sehr gut. Seit dem Jahre 2023 ist Michaela Hägele wieder Dirigentin.
Im Jahr 2024 feierte die Musikkapelle 100-jähriges Jubiläum. Auch dieses Jubiläum feierte die Musikkapelle mit einem Bauern- und Handwerkermarkt, zu dem weit über 10.000 Besucher kamen. Das SWR Fernsehen war an diesem Tag mit dabei und drehte eine begeisternde Beitrag für die Reihe „Treffpunkt: Alte Berufe – Handwerk modern machen“.
Ein weiterer Höhepunkt in der Vereinsgeschichte war im Jahr 2025 die Teilnahme am Wertungsspiel in Offingen. Die Musikkapelle erhielt für Konzertmusik in der Mittelstufe das Prädikat hervorragend. Aktuell zählen wir 32 aktive Mitglieder. 6 Kinder und Jugendliche werden zusammen mit der Musikschule des Musikvereins Unlingen ausgebildet. Wie während der ganzen Vereinsgeschichte sind auch einige Musikanten aus den umliegenden Gemeinden dabei.
Die Musikkapelle freut sich auf den bevorstehenden 9. altertümlichen Bauern- und Handwerkermarkt am 19.09.2027.
